In order for us to continually improve our programs, we need input from those who have actually participated in them. So that future students can be at least as well prepared (or even better prepared) as you, and have the best experience possible, please complete this evaluation. Please feel free to give us the best and the worst of your experience.
We hope that you had a wonderful experience, but if it happens that any part of it was particularly awful, we need to know about it! Rest assured that we are using this information only for Study Abroad Program development. Your answers are confidential, and you may submit the form anonymously if you wish. In either case, your honesty on this form will in no way adversely affect your future studies or relations at the University of North Texas.

Program Information

Program:

Was this an ISEP program?:

Major:

Your advisor or tutor at the host institution, if you had one:

Please Answer the Following Questions:

How was the quality of your pre-departure orientation meeting(s)? What information was left out? Which areas need to be covered more in-depth?

How was your travel experience to and from your place of study? What were unforeseen hitches that caused delays/other inconveniences or unexpected bonuses that made it enjoyable? Please comment on local transportation.

Tell us about student services, if applicable. Was medical assistance accessible at the school? If you needed assistance for any reason (academic, financial), how easy was it to obtain? Was the International or Student Support Office at your site student-friendly?

How did your accommodation and meal arrangements meet your expectations? How would you describe them to a future student going on the same program? What would you recommend to a future student?

What cultural differences would you warn future students about to save them from making mistakes you might have made? These could be things you witnessed within your host family (if you had one) or friends; general host country attitudes that differed from your own; or ways of doing things that were just not what you expected.

What are the strengths of this program?

What are the weaknesses that the prior questions have not addressed?

What did you like best about your experience?

What did you like least?

Now that you have been back from your program for a little while, reflect on our experience of re-entry into the United States and Texas. Have you had any surprises or difficulties with that? What would you tell future students about this aspect of long-term study abroad?

Please tell us anything else we need to know, including any questions you think we should add to our evaluation form.
