Conditional Admission without TOEFL

No TOEFL or TOEFL too low?

No TOEFL score is required for graduates of IELI who go to UNT for most undergraduate and many graduate programs. This conditional admission is due to the success of IELI graduates at the University of North Texas.

Conditional Admission without TOEFL is available for all Bachelor, Masters and Doctorate degrees (except the doctorate in English language and literature).

If you are admitted to UNT and receive Conditional Admission, first you will study English at the Intensive English Language Institute (IELI) and finish the final level, Level 6, of the IELI. After completing IELI, you will NOT have to take TOEFL. After completing IELI, you can begin to study your academic degree and major at UNT.
