Ms. Martin has returned to UNT in Denton as an Academic English Language Instructor. Ms. Martin served as an ESL Instructor in UNT's KGU Super IES program in Hirakata, Japan for nearly 5 years. She holds a BA in German from Baylor University and an MA in TESOL/Applied Linguistics from Indiana University. She has over 11 years of ESL/EFL experience, having worked in the US, Germany, Serbia, and Japan with high school students, university students, and refugees. Her research interests include best teaching practices for advanced second language writing and designing second language literacy courses for refugees. When she's not in the classroom, she enjoys reading non-fiction, playing board games, and cross-stitching.
