Nanjing Forestry University Partnership Programs

3+X Programs

UNT and Nanjing Forestry University have three 3+X programs:

  1. Computer science/computer engineering
  2. Mechanical and energy engineering
  3. Hospitality management

Students pursue a relevant bachelor’s degree from Nanjing Forestry University. Students pursue a Master of Science in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Mechanical and Energy Engineering from UNT’s College of Engineering. Students pursue a Master of Science in Hospitality Management from UNT’s College of Merchandising, Hospitality, and Tourism.

UNT’s College of Engineering is ranked in the nation’s top 100 by U.S. News and World Report while UNT’s computer engineering program is ranked 5th in Texas by Best-Engineering-Colleges.com.

UNT’s College of Merchandising, Hospitality, and Tourism houses the largest merchandising program in the nation. Five students have enrolled in the 3+X program in computer science/computer engineering.

2+2 Program

UNT and Nanjing Forestry University established a 2+2 program in 2019.

Students pursue NFU’s bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Technology. After two years of coursework completion at NFU, students transfer to UNT to complete the UNT Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

Students who fulfill UNT’s degree requirements receive UNT’s Bachelor of Science in Computer Science degree. Students who fulfill NFU’s degree requirements receive NFU’s bachelor’s in Computer Science and Technology.
