Dr. Gabriel Carranza serves as Assistant Vice Provost for Global Engagement and as Adjunct Research Professor in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of North Texas, and liaises with the UNT Office for Advancement.

Prior to joining the University of North Texas, Dr. Carranza spent 18 years
working for Texas A&M University where he was responsible for the creation
and administration of the Office for Latin American Programs; the creation,
administration, and program oversight of the Texas A&M University Center in
Mexico; and the establishment of a Tropical Research and Education Center in
Costa Rica.
