Outstanding International Student Award 2010 “Call for Outstanding International Student 2010”. UNT-International recognizes an outstanding undergraduate and/or graduate student who has significantly contributed to the internationalization of the University of North Texas and/or the community. 
Vaccinations... The University of North Texas requires all incoming International and Intensive English Language Institute (IELI) students to complete the Tuberculosis Screening Process Form.  Students which meet the Center for Disease Control definitions of high-risk based upon this form will need to complete additional steps.
Volunteer for International Week! UNT-International invites you to volunteer for International Week 2010, April 12 through April 19. International Week is an opportunity to meet new people, learn about other cultures and earn valuable volunteer hours.
UNT students earn Gilman Scholarships for Study Abroad
Two University of North Texas Students have earned Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships to study abroad in Spring 2010. Alacia Chaney and Aimee Saldivar, both UNT juniors, are two of 850 outstanding American undergraduate students from more than 357 colleges and universities across the U.S. who were offered the scholarships.
Going Global
The Goinglobal.com team is comprised of individuals representing many different nationalities who all have one experience in common—we have all lived and worked outside of our home countries.
Teach English in Korea UNT will begin to send students to South Korea in February to teach English through the Teach and Learn in Korea program.
TaLK Korea Program
UNT is proud to partner with the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology in recruiting applicants for the prestigious TaLK Korea program.  On November 18, 2009, the President of the Korean National Institute for International Studies (NIIED) and Ambassador Sangki Chung will be welcomed to UNT to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to work together on the TaLK program.
IIE Announces Freeman Indonesia Nonprofit Internship Program

The Institute of International Education is pleased to announce the inauguration of an exciting new program. The Freeman Indonesia Nonprofit Internship Program (FINIP), funded by the Freeman Foundation, aims to develop student leaders and strengthen the nonprofit sector in Indonesia.

UNT-International is comprised of the following areas:

Intensive English Language Institute (IELI)
Established in 1977, IELI is one the largest language programs for learning academic English in the U.S.  With 350-400 students from over 30 different countries, IELI still offers small, student-centered classes, with an average class size of 12.

International Admissions and Recruitment Office
The International Admissions and Recruitment office is eager to work with you from answering questions about UNT, to the start of your application process, and assisting you through every step of your application.

International Student/Scholar Services Office (ISSS)
ISSS provides consultations, workshops, document services, and written information to assist students, scholars, and UNT staff and faculty in understanding and complying with immigration regulations.  

Welcome Center and Programs Office
The International Welcome Center provides year-round orientation for international students in undergraduate and graduate programs at UNT.  In addition, this office provides multicultural programming for UNT departments, and the Denton community.

Sponsored and Special Programs Center (SSPC)
SSPC provides specialized services to students enrolled in UNT's academic degree and English preparatory programs a large and their sponsors.  Sponsored students comprise a diverse population  representing many cultures from around the globe.

Global Learning and Experience (Study Abroad)
UNT’s “study abroad” office is here to help you go away and experience the world! This office offers global student engagement through hands on experiences, fieldwork, independent research, international internships, fellowships, service learning as well as traditional study abroad opportunities.
