Lisa Hollinger

With a background in international education, providing student services, and facilitating student success, Lisa has taught students, trained teachers, and presented on a variety of topics internationally (Japan, Canada, and Turkey) and nationally. Lisa has also taught and provided services for students from all around the globe here at the University of North Texas. Before joining UNT’s IELI, she completed a BA in Spanish with a minor in Japanese at Nebraska Wesleyan University, traveled to Japan for a year of teaching abroad, and completed an MA in Teaching English as a Second Language at UNT. Passionate about mentoring, Lisa has developed mentoring programs at multiple levels at UNT and maintains a mentor role in several arenas. Additionally, she is an avid curriculum developer, having authored a vocabulary workbook and several OER materials for different courses.
