A person with a degree from a non-U.S. institution must present a certified English translation as well as an evaluation of their degree. The evaluation must state that the degree is equivalent to a degree earned at a U.S. institution. Foreign credentials must be translated and evaluated in order for them to be understood and recognized by federal immigration agencies, educational institutions, employers, licensing and certification boards in the U.S. The following are samples of educational evaluation services that specialize in evaluating foreign education credentials. Some provide only translation(s) and/or evaluation(s). The University of North Texas does not recommend nor guarantee their services. There are many other providers that evaluate foreign credentials that may be found on the internet.
