A new federal immigration rule has been published. The effective date is September 15.
The rule replaces Duration of Status (D/S) with fixed‑date admissions for student
and exchange visitor visa holders in the U.S., and makes changes to regulations related
to educational objectives, including requirements affecting transfers, changes of
major, and changes of degree level. The University is currently reviewing the rule
and will provide regular updates and additional information as it becomes available.
Please note: International Advising will NOT be available on Friday, July 17. The office will be open for document pick-up and routine questions.
As Fulbright celebrates 80 years of engaging with the world, UNT's Fulbright advisors have planned a series of programs for UNT faculty: Explore opportunities for U.S. citizens to go abroad to teach, conduct research and carry out professional projects through the Fulbright Scholar and Specialist Programs, and learn how to host international scholars at UNT through the Fulbright Visiting Scholar Program.
Join past, present and future Fulbrighters to recognize UNT faculty's Fulbright accomplishments.
The reception will be hosted in Marquis Hall, Room 130.
