New Student Late Arrival Request

Late Arrival

The standard UNT arrival deadline for Fall 2024 is Wednesday, August 14th, 2024. We strongly recommend that you plan to arrive BEFORE Wednesday, August 14th to find housing, finalize enrollment and payments, complete required TB testing (if applicable), and orient yourself with Denton before the start of classes on August 19th. If you cannot arrive before August 19th, 2024, you may be eligible for a late arrival. You can request permission to arrive after August 1st via iNorthTX. Please note: the late arrival request will not be available before August 1st to allow enough time for you to secure your earliest visa appointment. Please make every effort to secure your visa and flights to the United States before August 14th and only request a late arrival if absolutely necessary.

Undergraduate Students

We are unable to accommodate late arrival requests for undergraduate students. All international undergraduate students must arrive in the United States prior to August 14th, 2024 to complete orientation, TSI testing, and other requirements.

Graduate Students

Personal Funds: If you have not received UNT funding, the last date that you can arrive for Fall 2024 is Wednesday, August 21st, 2024. You must complete the Late Arrival E-Form in iNorthTX to be approved for the updated arrival deadline.

UNT Funding: If you have received UNT funding through a TA or GA position, the last date that you can arrive for Fall 2024 is determined by your academic department. You must receive a letter from your academic department on letterhead that indicates your approved late arrival date. After you have received this letter, complete the Late Arrival E-Form in iNorthTX to be approved for the updated arrival deadline. The Late Arrival E-Form will require that you upload your department's approval letter before submitting.
