As an undergraduate, Ezra studied classical music and guitar performance in Florida.
After relocating to San Diego, California to pursue a graduate degree in classical
guitar, his focus shifted to languages. He transferred to the Los Angeles area and
earned a Master of Arts in Linguistics from California State University, Fullerton.
He began teaching English in 2008 and taught English for academic purposes at CSUF,
Cal State LA, and Glendale Community College. He also tutored GRE/GMAT analytical
writing during this time. In 2014, he joined the USC International Academy, where
he taught master’s program preparatory courses from 2014 to 2023. In total, Ezra has
taught English for academic purposes for over 15 years.
Ezra loves books, creative writing, Spanish guitars, and opera. Other interests include
blogging, poetry, and pour-over coffee.
