Jamal King

Jamal King currently serves as a Senior International Advisor for International Student & Scholar Services. Jamal is a native Texan and graduated from the University of North Texas with a Master's of Science in Educational Psychology in 2023. Jamal's education and research has centered around community, sense of belonging, accessibility, and inclusive learning technology. In addition to their employment, Jamal has had extensive experience in leadership and service, including roles on steering committees, boards of directors, and as a founding leader of employee resource groups. 

 

Jamal values vulnerability, authenticity, and patience. When they're not saving the world one I-20 at a time, they enjoy playing video games, trying out new recipes and life hacks, and traveling with friends and loved ones.
