Megan was born and raised in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In college she studied Psychology,
Spanish, and Art. After working as a counselor for a few years, she realized her true
passion was teaching languages. While completing her Masters degree in Languages,
Literatures, and Cultures at Illinois State University, she received a scholarship
to teach English at The University of Salamanca in Spain. Since then she has taught
English for 10+ years to children, university students, and adult professionals. Before
moving to Japan, she taught English for Academic Purposes at the University of Miami
and Florida International University. In addition to living and working in the United
States and Spain, she also taught English while living in Uruguay.
Megan loves animals, traveling the world, and being active. Some of her favorite hobbies
include dancing, hiking, sports, ceramics, board games, trying new food, and learning
new things. Her favorite part about teaching English is building meaningful relationships
with people from all around the world.
