Each year, International Affairs recognizes an outstanding international student who
has contributed greatly to campus internationalization at the University of North
Texas.
Nominations open in the spring semester. The award is presented to a graduating international student at the International Student
Sash Ceremony in April.
- Student is actively involved in campus programs and activities and campus internationalization
outside of their on-campus employment duties.
- Student has contributed to the growth and success of the international community and
culturally rich environment at UNT.
- Student must be completing their degree program in the Spring, Summer or Fall semester
for the year they are nominated. For example, students nominated in Spring 2024 must
be graduating in Spring, Summer or Fall 2024.
- Student must meet minimum GPA requirements: 3.0 for undergraduate students and 3.5
for graduate students.
- Faculty, administrators, staff, student organization leaders, and individual students
are invited to nominate an International student who exemplifies service to the UNT
campus and international community.
- Members of the Outstanding International Student of the Year selection committee may
not nominate students.
- Incomplete nominations will not be considered.
- Self-nominations will not be considered.
