Global Citizen Scholarship

RULE PUBLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT

A new federal immigration rule has been published. The effective date is September 15.
The rule replaces Duration of Status (D/S) with fixed‑date admissions for student and exchange visitor visa holders in the U.S., and makes changes to regulations related to educational objectives, including requirements affecting transfers, changes of major, and changes of degree level.

End of Duration of Status and Changes to Academic Mobility | Zoom Meetings Every Wednesday and Thursday | August 12 - December 17

The Global Citizen Scholarship is awarded to students with a demonstrated commitment to their personal development as global citizens while studying at UNT.

The scholarship is included in the Eagle Scholarship Portal.

Eligibility:

Student must meet full-time enrollment status requirements unless approved otherwise;
Student must be enrolled in a degree granting program;
Student must demonstrate commitment to development as a global citizen while studying at UNT.
Undergraduate and second bachelor’s applicants must have at least a cumulative 3.0 GPA;
Graduate applicants must have at least a cumulative 3.5 GPA.
