F1 Fundamentals Workshops

RULE PUBLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT

A new federal immigration rule has been published. The effective date is September 15.
The rule replaces Duration of Status (D/S) with fixed‑date admissions for student and exchange visitor visa holders in the U.S., and makes changes to regulations related to educational objectives, including requirements affecting transfers, changes of major, and changes of degree level.

F1 Fundamentals Workshops are led by International Student & Scholar Services Immigration Advisors and provide everything you need to know about immigration guidelines and how to maintain visa status. These virtual workshops are held throughout each long semester. Workshops are not recorded.

Every Wednesday and Thursday on Zoom from August 12 to December 17

Wednesdays at 11 a.m. | Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.

Optional Practical Training (OPT)

Every Wednesday in September at 1:30 p.m.

First Wednesday of Every Month from October to December at 1:30 p.m.

Curricular Practical Training (CPT)

Third Wednesday of Every Month from October to December at 1:30 p.m.

F1 Fundamentals will not be held when the university is closed.
