How to Request an I-20

RULE PUBLICATION ANNOUNCEMENT

A new federal immigration rule has been published. The effective date of this rule is delayed due to a preliminary injunction order issued on September 14, 2026.
We will update our webpage as more information becomes available.
The rule replaces Duration of Status (D/S) with fixed‑date admissions for student and exchange visitor visa holders in the U.S., and makes changes to regulations related to educational objectives, including requirements affecting transfers, changes of major, and changes of degree level.

Once you are fully admitted to UNT, you will receive an automated email from iNorthTX with login information to request immigration documents or to submit documents relating to your current immigration status.

Please follow the instructions below to request an F-1 I-20. Submit your I-20 request through the iNorthTX portal as early as possible. Students who will require an F-1 visa to enter the United States for Spring 2027 must submit their I-20 request no later than Friday, December 4, 2026.
