Orientation programs are designed to help students successfully transition to the university. As an international student, you will participate in orientation activities specific to your status as a visa holder, and orientation activities specific to your enrollment status.

WINGS Pre-Arrival International Student Orientation is mandatory for F & J visa holders. 

All F & J visa holders must complete the following:

1. WINGS - Pre-Arrival International Student Orientation. This is an online course in Homebase.

  • WINGS is mandatory.
  • Course is best accessed on a personal computer or laptop.
  • The Homebase App is available for mobile devices running Apple iOS and Android OS.
  • Optional virtual sessions cover university services and resources, and allow you to speak directly with international orientation advisors. 
  • Optional on-campus welcome events include an international student resource fair, funding workshop, driver's license seminar, social events, and campus mini-tours.
  • WINGS is provided to students at no cost. We will not ask you for payment to join WINGS. 

2. Document Check-In via iNorthTX

  • Document Check-In is mandatory for all international students.
  • Document Check-In is completed after you have arrived in the U.S.
  • Document Check-In serves as your "check-in" with the University. 

3. University Orientation requirements based on  enrollment status

Orientation is MANDATORY for freshmen. You are a Freshman if this is your first time in college or university and you are pursuing an undergraduate degree.
