Orientation programs are designed to help students successfully transition to the university. As an international student, you will participate in orientation activities specific to your status as a visa holder, as well as orientation activities specific to your enrollment status. You must complete all orientation requirements prior to registering for classes.
All F and J international student visa holders must complete the following:
1. WINGS - Pre-Arrival International Student Orientation. This is an online course in Canvas.

The course is best accessed on a personal computer or laptop.
The Canvas App is available for mobile devices running Apple iOS and Android OS for those students without access to a personal computer or laptop.
WINGS is provided to students at no cost. We will not ask you for payment when we invite you join the course.

You are a Graduate Student if you have enrolled in a Master's or Ph.D. program.
Graduate Orientation is optional. You may register in the myUNT portal
Teaching Assistants/Teaching Fellows are required to take the Teaching Excellence
Seminar
Graduate Students in the College of Music must attend College of Music orientation
and placement exams at the time specified in the Music Admission letter.
Graduate Students in other programs may require department orientations. Please check
with your department.
