As a J-1 Student, you are required to maintain full-time enrollment status. Only one internet class is permitted to count towards your full-time enrollment. There are exceptions to the requirement for full-time status.

Academic Exceptions: Initial difficulty with American teaching methods (first semester only), improper course level placement, dissertation only, or final semester.

Medical Exceptions: If you are receiving treatment for a physical or mental health condition, you may submit a signed doctor's note signed by a Medical Doctor (MD), Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist with your e-form for approval. The note must be on office letterhead, signed by an MD, DO, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist, and indicate the recommended credit hours for enrollment in a specific enrollment term. 

Undergraduates: 12 semester hours If you meet one of the requirements specified on the Exemption and Equivalency Form, please send the endorsed form to jinfo@unt.edu.

Graduates: 9 semester hours please log in to iNorthTX to submit the e-form. It will be automatically routed to Toulouse Graduate School.
